"Y'know, it's been a while since I saw something..."
... quite as good as this, so I shall quote from a very specific text which completely sums up my feelings: BOO-FREAKING-YAH! Seriously, this song is awesome and I can see it being used in the new age of empires game, specifically a mod or some such that used this music on the first landing in the new world. It has quite a good vibe to it that I really like to see (you know what I mean)and sounds mysterious enough to hint that maybe not all is as it seems. I'm also hearing something in the background...but I can't quite make it out, but it has presense, and it adds something to the song, not sure whether it's a good or bad something though.
Hammerypart says: Fair awesome, I'm downloading this one. Cya 'round!

Haha thanks for the review. That'd be awesome to score for an AoE game. Glad you liked it.

"I'm inclined to disagree..."
and continue your streak of straight 10/10 reviews, so here it goes! This song is fantibitytoppitytabulous and deserves the best score physically possible, there is nothing that I can point out with my fairly limited musical knowledge that is wrong with this, and it sounds far more epic than the origional song and, I know this gets thrown around a LOT but i they re-made this game then this song should definately be in there. And how it should!
Hammerypart says: ...Epic, nuff said, i'm not sure whether to be speechless or go for a fangirl scream....hmm descisions, decisions... Well, cya round!

This is soooooo uplifting! It's pissing down with rain outside, it's blowing a gale as well and all I can think is YAY! This song is on a loop! I can totally see this fitting into the start of an RPG/adventure setting, bu the only thing i've got against RPG's and stuff is that the songs gradually get more and more moody throughout the game until at the end it sounds like it was thrown together in 5 minutes, and seeing as music makes a game I rarely ever complete a game as I think 'I want to go back to the start again!' Anyhoo's, this song is brilliant, and having ben created by a master of music such as yourself I really should appreciate it a whole lot more... It loops pretty fine well to, but can I just ask how many instruments you used in this song, I count 3-5 but i'm really crap at this whole instruments business.
Hammerypart says: Mmmm...OH! I've got it! *hugs Josh*! See, that's artist appreciation right there! Downloaded too!
Author's Response:
Hahaha. It's definatly appreciation in my book. I'll have to go back and look, but it's not many instruments at all. I actually limited myself on purpose. I didn't want to go too overboard so I could keep the 'old RPG' feel to it.
If you also think music is a huge part of the game, play Chrono Trigger if you haven't already. Great game and great music all the way through.
Thanks for the great review.

"Heh, happiness is an issue to work on..."
Yeah, 'cause as soon as I start listening to one of your songs I go from whatever mood i'm in to YAY! in about 5 seconds flat! Not so helpful when i'm trying to maintain being pissed of at someone and then I hear this and then I go up and i' all like 'I'm sorry! Yay! *hugs*' and they're all like 'RAR! ME SO ANGRY!' It all kinda goes a bit weird after that... I should probably get around to reviewing this thang now, shouldn't I? Or would that make my review all 'Useful' all of a sudden, =P
Soooo... yeah, good, not so fast pased as i'm used to but at least it isn't a loop so it sounds good on my BRAND SPANKING NEW mp3! Huzzahs for late x-mas presents! Oooh, this is turning into a tangent to, isn't it? I gotta download some more of your work....Happy, with a good range of instruments used, along with the whole 'yay, it's another Kr1z song! Means awesomeness is asurred!
Hammerypart says: Is there any point in the whole, Hammerypart says bit? Ah well, in it goes anyways! So, Cya 'round then?

Yeah, i'm outta here, i'm gonna review this though before I leave, yup, this song is awesome to, I'm all for a light hearted exit though, this song suits that well, bringing my (albeit short) newgrounds character to a close, I think this may make a good song to add to the favourites. Yeah...
Hammerypart says: Hope you make more like this! If that last comment was to a 2 year old song or something, sorry! Cya 'rou.....oh yeah =P...

I can't say i've even heard of Lufia before but the music (at least your version of it) sounds fairly good, sounds like something you could beat the crap out of someone to, jumpy, and I liked the consistensy, not enough to get on the nerves, but enough to be noticeable.
Hammerypart says: I think I might listen to this whilest writing that damn essay out! Yeah, definately good work! Cya 'round!

Yeah, its good, but from what everyone else is saying it looks like you ripped it from somebody else! I say! Bad show sah! Increadibly fast paced, the intro has nothing to do with the rest of the song, I love that, it completely throws ya off, the changes throughout be noticeable and I especially like it when the piano kicks in once more. Not enough changes to ruin the song, but enough to make ya think, hmm what'll happen next?

This song be awesome, not nostalgic as of such, but there's definately something awesome there, possibly because its Mario and rock style musiac! Yeah, very quick, fast paced and definately something to listn to whilst attempting to moosh flies around your room! I can't say I like it when it loops though, it needs a bit more of an ending.
Hammerypart says: I are pant! My hands are itching, seriously! Great mario tribute thing! Cya 'round!

I just got this game for the Mario 64 game for the DS, the song from the game really ain't a patch on this, the sounds around here make it sound much more like a light hearted battlefield, like it should be, but I wouldn't mind some cannon blasts in the background. Methinks it would give some more atmosphere, maybe some chain chomp barking as well?
Hammerypart says: Why haven't you been picked off to work as a proper musical artist type thing? 100th review! Yeah! Cya 'round!

"And on your left you will see epicness!"
Yeah, i'm practicing my tour guide speak, anyways this song (all 3:27 of it) is completely awesome but I am in love with the song from 2 minutes onwards, I mean, sure, the start was good but then it just comes into a league of its own. EPIC DUEL! Anyways its increadibly bouncy (I think anyway) and perfectly compliments the final fantasy battle themes, except from Final Fantasy 12, they blow, but with your skill I think even they could become awesome! An idea for a later song maybe?
Hammerypart says: Oooooh 99th song review! Gonna love reviewing the rest of your stuff! Cya 'round!
