"Wow, that was....interesting."

date: January 28, 2009

I'm not sure what just happened but it certainly was entertaining. Anyway, certainly one of the stranger things I've learnt today. Newgroyunds has a voiceacting section? Really? Holy Vishnu! Anything good there, or is this it? Aaaanyway, reviewing this stuff huh? Umm....well dang, reviewing voice IS a lot harder than reviewing music, who'd have thunk it? Okay, I can't hink of anything to say other than quite funny and very good sound quality, even through my crappy speakers. Oh, but did you really think of everything? Reeeeally? God is watching you, be honest now!

Hammerypart says: Well that was cool, dunno whether I should go and listen to the others or go and eat somethign ebfore I pass out. Hmm.... Oh, bye!

Author's Response:

[DjBjra] Battle of Old Friends

"Well zen! Let us see what I think."

date: January 28, 2009

Well, just read the description. No, uh.... just no I'm afraid. A lil' bit to uh.... soft isn't the right word but it's all i can come up with. Lesse here, what could make it better as a boss battle song... well, it sounds good on principle but there's a few ways to make it better. Looking back on games that did stuff like this, Kingdom Hearts, when you fought Riku, made it a big sweeping orchestral score, hard to pull off I could imagine, but totally worth it. In Prince Of Persia they made epic boss music by using a combination of orchestral/arabian/metal except no the new one, lets just not go there shall we? Anyway, those are the only two I can think of just now, but either one of those extremes could improve this song to no end. As it is it sounds like music for the credit sequence. No offence meant.

Hammerypart says: I still like the song, don't get me wrong. Oh, and don't hold me to what I said, I'm not the music maker here. Anyway, cya 'round!

"I shall indeed tell you what I think!"

date: January 28, 2009

IN A LOUD AND ABBRASIVE MANNER! WHAT HO! Okay, cancel that, but I've always wanted to say that y'know?...... You don't? Meh, well each to his own then. Anyway, I can't think of anything else to ramble about here so I guess I should review this thang h-uh? Right then! It's awesomeitude, first and foremost, and frankly, shweet work for a 14 year old, most of the ones I know either want to be jet pilots or think that they're pro footballers, the minority who think they're good at music are the ones who screech into microphones, so great work on not being one of them. =D Also, can I just say, wonderful work on the song, Chronamut may have changed the instruments, but the origional idea was yours. Oh, and it's pronounced: NOICE!

Hammerypart says: Sooooo..... I've got stuff to be reviewing, so I'm gonna go and toddle off now, farewell!

January 28, 2009

Author's Response:

haha. You got it wrong, I want to be a jet pilot I'm just pondering on USAF or Commercial Piloting :P haha

Thanks for the great review!

"See now I meant to review this..."

date: January 28, 2009

when you told me about it but I got distracted by shiny things. For a loooong time. Around a week in fact. Fun times though. Damn those dolphin people, they bested me and took the shinies. Alas cruel fate! My life aside, this is a noice song ya know? Well you do, but it's nice to hear it from 103 other people right? Love the pan pipes (they are pan pipes right?) the most it should be said, seeing as they sorta remind me of... well, I dunno, my background I guess. Anyway, this is a rambly review innit y'all? Best sum it up right? Relaxing, collabarific =P, soothing, melancholy and highly recomended. Straight to favourites! =D

Hammerypart says: Ooooh 'eck, that turned into a vaguely competent review just then, what's happening to me?!? Aaaaanyhoo, cya 'round!

"Well then! Umm...okay, I've got nothing."

date: January 14, 2009

'Cept I feel I must point out that it's bleedin' amazing! Seriously now, I just want to hug it to death! Well, maybe not that far, then no-one else would be able to hear its lovely-jubblyness, and that would suck for everyone else. Babbling aside, I feel I should probably y'know, review some of it's awesomeitude somewhere in this thing. Gotta say though, thanks for making the non-vocal version, always like to hear a song without lyrics blotting out the uniqueness of the instruments. And are those flutes i hear at 2:27? Classy sir! Classy! Only one problem I have with this song is that it is so different from the origional that I feel vaguely obligated to download both, seeing as I like the origional for its simplicity as well as this for all the new additions. Curse you for forcing me to use up slightly more of my i-pod's memory! =P

Hammerypart says: Good song. Well what else can I say? I speak the truth in this section! Anyhoo! Cya 'round!

"Well then! I hear this is The best song EVAR?"

date: January 9, 2009

It comes close I grant you, probably No. 6 in my Songs O' Awesome List. So kudos to ye! You managed to beat The Final Countdown and Cops And Robbers! Lost out to the origional Tetris song though. Alas! Ouch. Fell of this damn excercise ball again. Probably deserved it for saying this song was worse than the tetris song though. =P Anyway, review time, eh? Put simply: Me likey! Put less simply, I absolutely love the beginning, so simple, so refined, just don't hear enough songs that risk losing the more impatient listeners by starting off slowly. Also the variations in tone are brilliant, and do I detect some piano in there? Huzzahs if so, because I loves me some piano in the evening. One thing though, didn't like the sudden silence at 1:05, I thought my computer speakers had finally decided to cough up their collective wiring and die. Other than that, yeah, awesome!

Hammerypart says: *Yaaaawn* Sleepy be I, be off I will, before I go though. *Hugz for MIC! Hugz I say!* Anyway, Byeeee!

[DjBjra] Second Coming Anthem

"So then, Hammery likes what he hears!"

date: January 9, 2009

I was listening to this when I was doing cross-country running a few days back, well this and the rocky theme, and for some reason the final count down, but anyway. This songs purpose becomes amazingly clear when you're running along in utter serenity, all you can hear being your footsteps, heartbeat, breathing and the song. It must be for a fitness training video! You know it makes sense! So I guess I should review it h-uh? Yup, yup, pretty good, basic, but then again, that's what you get when you remove almost everything, am I right? Still, you keep it fresh, by shuffling stuff like tone 'n' whatnot. Also the drum rolls for some reason make this song for me, I just haven't heard them enough lately, y'know?

Hammerypart says: Solid ten, deserves it, now then, I'm gonna go review one more thing before going to do something more differenter than this. Anyway, byeee!

"But where will we be without you?!?"

date: January 9, 2009

Or by one horse suburb do you not mean Newgrounds? Well anyway good luck with your hope of VG musicianitude, you'd be good at it me thinks. Hmm... this spelling malarky isn't as easy as it looks when you're sitting on top of a giant rubber excercise ball. I keep faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalling. Ouch. Still managed to keep my finger on the a key though. Woop woop I guess. =P Anyway, need to put some actual review in here don't I? Hoo boy it's been a while... umm... well, I'd say you've pretty much nailed it actually. Well crap. That's it. You're now officially amazing. Hammerypart stamp of approval and all.

Hammerypart says: Oooh, wait , one thing you could improve on. The bass line is an itsy bit weak, touch it up a bit and it's good. (Kudos to my brother for walking past and suggesting that). Anyway, I've got more stuffs to review now. Fare ye well!

What is this? High school? Lemme guess, the white t-shirts have super-secret awesome logos on them and everything, am I right? Nah, I kid, you guess have a blast reviewing and what not, just do us a favour and keep up the quality, it's nice to see someone out there who gives proper constructive critisism. This has gone and turned into a review of a review. =P Guess I should start reviewing the song h-uh? First off: NOT good for something to listen to first thing in the morning, destroy's eardrums I tell ye! What can I say.....hmm, well, first off, the whole "Touch of Dream" bit smack in the middle with no real set up confuses the hell outta me, maybe a few more lyrics, which is odd coming from me, seeing as I usually hate the thngs. On the up side, it's like coffee for the soul, really gets you up and do I detect some piano in there? Not much granted, but at least it's there so kudos!

Hammerypart says: I need to catch up on my reviews and whatnot, so I'll cut this down to say: Bye guys! Good luck with your collab's!

Song of Storms remix

"Heeey, I remember this!"

date: December 1, 2008

This was an awesome moment in the game, because if I recall correctly it involves a pissed off guy with an acordian, windmills and the undead! There's something there for everyone! Unless you've got a phobia of all three of them, in which case you probably ought to get that checked out....Anyhoo! Reviews, eh? I hear they're what I'm supposed to be writing here. How about that eh? Anyway, I'm gonna try something different here. Positives! Yay! 1. Good ol' nostalgia factor. 2. Adds several new elements to the song, which increase it's AWESOMESAUCE factor. 3. Umm... contains an unaltered part of the origional, at around 1:10(?) which contains fluent amounts of yayness. Negatives. Boo! 1. Something about that piano line at the start grates a bit. Dunno what though, did you take a sound sample from somewhar's else or did you actually play it youself? I prefer freshly recorded stuff (alright I know it's not the right term, but I find it funny somehow). Just personal preference therre, nothing actually wrong with it per-se.....I'll shut up now shall I?And now I'm done! I've run out of steam.

Hammerypart says: Well! I think that worked out quite well actually, got some constuctive comments in there, however, I don't know about that negative comment....gah! Doubt has set in! What shall I do? Delete it? No, nooooo. *Craziness* Anyway! Toodleoo Keaton!
